MIG Welding
MIG – is defined as Metal Inert Gas fusing or joining of metals, used mainly for welding steel, but can also be used on aluminium providing a different gas compound is used with aluminium welding wire. MIG welding is the simplest of welds used within engineering and can look attractive. At Harry Burrows Fabrications our welders have extensive experience and weld to BS EN 287 & ASME IX.
TIG Welding
TIG – is defined as Tungsten Inert Gas fusing materials together. TIG welding is more involved than other welding procedures. The welds are very strong and also look attractive. At Harry Burrows Fabrications our welders have extensive experience and weld to BS EN 287 & ASME IX.
MMA Welding
MMA – is defined as Manual Metal Arc welding, or can be referred to as ‘Stick Welding’. MMA as a process uses a consumable electrode coated in flux to lay the weld. A current is passed through and an arc is formed between the two metals to be joined. The flux coating serves its purpose by disintegrating and dispersing a gas and a layer of slag. This protects the welded area. At Harry Burrows Fabrications our welders have extensive experience and weld to very high standards.
