This gigantic tree has been built at the back of The Mailbox. Have a look at these photos – during and after construction. The steel framework was manufactured by Harry Burrows Fabrications Ltd.

This is Birmingham’s largest Christmas tree and was built – by hand – on a canal stage at the back of BBC Birmingham.

This is one of the biggest trees in the UK and a real attraction for Birmingham.

Christmas 2008 in all it’s glory

The whole construction is just over 70ft high and breaks down as follows:

• A two meter high stage
• 20 meters of Christmas tree
• A 600mm star on the top
